Former employee arrested in shooting at McDonald's

VALLEJO, California (CNN) -- A 24-year old man was arrested late Friday in the shooting of three McDonald's employees.

Jody Tyrone Gordon, 24, was charged with one count of homicide and two counts of attempted homicide. Police said Gordon is a former employee of the fast food restaurant who had tried unsuccessfully to get his job back.

One of the victims, 17-year-old Melanie Boncato, died Friday. The other two, both women, remained hospitalized with head wounds.

Police said a gunman walked into the restaurant Thursday night and opened fire on the employees without saying anything. He made no demands for money; he just laughed, police said.
