Simpson's children return to his home
December 21, 1996Web posted at: 10:40 p.m. EST LOS ANGELES (CNN) -- O.J. Simpson's two youngest children returned to his estate Saturday, a day after he was awarded permanent custody. Simpson's bodyguard picked up Sydney, 11, and Justin, 8, from their grandparents' Orange County house, where they have lived for 2 1/2 years. Sydney and Justin will return to the Browns for Christmas Eve, and spend Christmas Day with their father. Simpson and his in-laws, Juditha and Louis Brown, faced off in court for custody of Sydney and Justin. The two children have been living with their grandparents since June 1994 when Simpson was arrested in the deaths of their mother, Nicole Brown Simpson, and Ron Goldman. Simpson was acquitted last year. Separately, Simpson is being sued by his ex-wife's and Goldman's families in a civil wrongful death lawsuit. That trial is in recess until January 6.
