Brown family's statement

Here is the text of the statement by the Brown family on the judge's decision awarding O.J. Simpson custody of the children he had with the slain Nicole Brown Simpson:
The Brown family fought long and hard against Mr. Simpson's petition to regain the custody of Sydney and Justin in order to assure that these children would be safe and protected and not exposed to the risks and detriment of domestic violence which plagued their past and, if returned to Mr. Simpson, would be likely to affect their future.
It is with great sadness and concern that we received the news today that the judge has decided to terminate the guardianship.
We love Sydney and Justin and pray for their safety and well being as they return to their father.
