SEATTLE, Washington (CNN) -- It was a stunt gone wrong in Seattle Thursday.(30 sec./1.2MB QuickTime movie)
Four parachutists -- three men and a woman -- were making the first authorized jump from the city's 520-foot-tall Space Needle.
Everything went beautifully until the woman's steering line became wrapped over the top of her parachute during her second jump, which disabled control as she descended.
Jessica Ann Kluetmeier, 29, of New York City spun wildly in the air before hitting the ground hard on a grassy area in a nearby park.
An experienced jumper, Kluetmeier came away with a broken bone in her lower back. Doctors said she was not paralyzed.
