November 9, 1996Web posted at: 6:00 p.m. EST NEW YORK (CNN) -- The building used by TWA Airlines for international departures at John F. Kennedy International Airport was closed for an hour Saturday when a bomb-sniffing dog wrongly indicated that it smelled explosives in a passenger's carry-on bag, said Port Authority spokeswoman Gwen Williams. The building was evacuated when the dog signaled that the bag contained explosives. The New York City police bomb squad was called in and determined that there were no explosives in the luggage, Williams said.
