No one was killed or injured, Staff Sgt. Jason Tudor said. The plane went down just south of State Highway 98 and started a brushfire in an uninhabited area near the Air Force Base. The drone has a small self-destructive explosive on board and this, coupled with the fire, caused officials to close off the highway. The QF-106 drone is used as target practice for F-15 fighter pilots. It can be flown either by remote control or by a pilot.
