Clinton to form religious advisory committee
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- President Clinton will form a 20-member committee to advise the secretary of state of matters of religious oppression and intolerance, the Washington Post reported Sunday.
The panel, to be made up of prominent religious leaders and scholars, is being formed to counter complaints from evangelical Christians that insufficient attention is placed on the persecution of Christians abroad.
