Stranded rafters rescued from Alaska iceberg
NEAR YAKUTAT, Alaska (CNN) -- Four rafters stranded on an iceberg on the Alsek River were rescued this week, the Coast Guard said. A woman and three men -- one of them a guide -- were hoisted to safety aboard a Coast Guard helicopter on Tuesday night.
After becoming stranded on the iceberg, the group radioed a passing plane for help. The message was relayed to a person on shore who notified the Coast Guard.
