Simpson lawyers want cameras barred from courtroomLOS ANGELES (CNN) -- Attorneys for former football star O.J. Simpson want cameras and audio equipment barred from the courtroom in Simpson's wrongful-death lawsuit. In a written objection Thursday to media requests for video and audio coverage of the civil trial, attorney Robert Baker said since the jurors probably will not be sequestered, such coverage could violate Simpson's rights to a fair trial. Simpson was acquitted in October in the 1994 killings of ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman. The victims' families are suing Simpson, who is expected to take the stand. The trial is to begin September 17. Related stories:
