Dole makes Vice Presidential choice

RUSSELL, Kansas (CNN) -- Expected Republican Presidential nominee Bob Dole told reporters Friday morning he has picked a running mate.

Asked if he had in mind the name of his running mate, Dole responded, "Oh yeah."

Asked when he would call the person he's selected, Dole said, "Probably this evening."

Dole made the remark while talking to reporters on a flight from Washington to Salina, Kansas.

He did not indicate who he had chosen.
