California brush fire fully contained
July 23, 1996 LOS ANGELES, California (CNN) -- A brush fire that burned 1,000 acres in San Luis Obispo County, about 160 miles north of Los Angeles, was 100 percent contained Tuesday morning, a fire information officer told CNN. The fire threatened no homes or other structures, and the only injury was a minor one to a firefighter. A citation was issued to the person who caused the fire by using a chain saw not equipped with a spark arrester. Related stories:
