Southeastern states brace for Bertha

(CNN) -- With a hurricane warning in effect from Brunswick, Georgia, northward to the North Carolina-Virginia line, nearly 1 million coastal residents and vacationers headed inland Thursday as Hurricane Bertha hurtled toward them.
