Photo feature: Hit us with your best shot
(CNN) -- One of the best ways to preserve your travel experiences is to capture them on film. Photos allow you to bring a piece of your destination home with you, and years later can help you remember people and places you otherwise may have forgotten. But they're not for your enjoyment only. Sharing vacation pictures is a great way to include friends and family in your travels. We're launching a new feature called "Travel Snapshots," to give you the chance to share your trips with a wider audience and to show off your best vacation picture. It's easy. Send us your photo either by email or snail mail (see instructions below). We'll post one per day in postcard form, every Monday through Friday. All types of photos, from people shots to landscapes to city scenes, are welcome.
For all submissions, please include your name and where you live. Also tell us where you took the picture and give us a brief description of it. We may edit your description for brevity's sake. If you haven't seen your picture posted a few months after you sent it, please try again and send a new one. We will keep pictures for approximately two months after receiving them. We look forward to seeing your photos! Check back every day, Monday through Friday, at CNN.com/Travel to see the most recent Travel Snapshot.
