SUGAR HILL, New Hampshire (CNN) -- Most people know New Hampshire as a great place to see leaves turning in the fall. But spring has also become a popular season for tourists in the White Mountains thanks to a flower -- the lupine.
"It's just amazing" says freelance photographer Bill Johnson. "It's like this whole mass of color that gets out there, and it's something you don't see except in the springtime."
Johnson is one of the more serious shutterbugs trekking through the fields bursting with lupines. CNN Photojournalist Bob Crowley followed Johnson along on his shoot.
