LOS ANGELES (CNN) -- Too many people cramming through a security
checkpoint at the same time caused security officials at Los Angeles
International Airport to order everyone out of one terminal briefly Wednesday.
Because of the overload, officials were unsure if anyone might have passed
into Terminal Two without being properly screened, LAX spokeswoman Nancy Castle
said.
After the terminal was evacuated, employees and vendors were re-screened
through the security checkpoint. After that, passengers were allowed to
re-enter.
Some travel delays were expected because of the evacuation.
The terminal 2 serves both domestic and international flights. Airlines
operating out of there include Air Canada, Air China, Air New Zealand, Asiana,
KLM, and City Bird.
