WASHINGTON (CNN) -- The U.S. Department of State on Monday warned Americans "of the dangers of travel to Lebanon," citing past terrorist attacks targeting U.S. citizens.
"The perpetrators of these attacks are still present in Lebanon, and retain the ability to act," the warning read.
The State Department urged all Americans living or traveling in Lebanon to register with the U.S. embassy in Beirut.
