U.S. State Department extends caution announcements on Cambodia

(CNN) -- The U.S. Department of State is advising Americans in Cambodia to exercise special caution over the coming week.

On Tuesday, the U.S. Embassy in Phnom Penh issued an announcement recommending that U.S. citizens avoid the area around the embassy on Friday, April 10, due to a labor rights demonstration.

The embassy also continues its recommendation that Americans avoid large crowds during Khmer New Year's celebrations from April 14-16.
