PARIS (CNN) -- Halloween came to Paris Thursday morning ... in the form of 8,000 pumpkins in the Trocadero Gardens at the base of the Eiffel Tower. The great gourds are part of a promotional event by France Telecom -- and Paris' kids have been invited to partake in an American-style Halloween party to mark the event. The pumpkins -- all 85 tons of them -- will be given away when the party's over.
