Barbie sets sail

Mattel sends popular doll on Carnival cruise

Web posted at: 4:03 p.m. EDT (2003 GMT) (CNN) -- She has been a ballerina, a doctor, an astronaut, a cheerleader and a biker babe -- and now Barbie is going cruising. Carnival Cruise Lines and Barbie creator Mattel, Inc. announced Friday the coming release of Carnival Cruise Barbie, available in gift shops of Carnival's Fun Ships. Barbie will be aboard in November, dressed nautically, for $45. For landlubbers, the doll is also available at 1-888-895-1202, extension 34.
