(CNN) -- The upcoming reopening of one of the most celebrated restaurants in the world is stirring interest in New York. Le Cirque has been closed for almost a year, as crews renovate its new home in the historic Villard House adjoining The New York Palace Hotel. Owners are planning to open Le Cirque 2000 in May, and New Yorkers are hungry with anticipation; Already, the new Le Cirque has received 2,500 reservations.
