Ann Arbor's Celluloid Celebration
March 11, 1997 (CNN) -- In Michigan, Ann Arbor's arty side takes the spotlight, as the 35th Ann Arbor Film Festival begins. Independent filmmakers from around the world are presenting their 16-mm creations. Awards include best documentary and top animated film, with a total of $10,000 in cash prizes. Ticket prices run from $6 for a single screening to $35 for the week. The festival ends Sunday, March 16, with a screening of the winning films.
