Getting There

North of Cabo San Lucas...

La Paz overlooks the Bahía de la Paz on Baja's east coast, 222km north of Cabo San Lucas and 1496km southeast of Tijuana, on the Transpeninsular Highway (Rte. 1). Activity centers around the area delineated by Constitución, Ocampo, Serdán, and the shore. The municipal bus system in La Paz serves the city sporadically (approximately every 30 minutes, 6am-10pm, 1.50 pesos). Flag buses down anywhere, or wait by the stop at Degollado, next to the market. From the station, try to convince your driver to drop you off in the centro.
