(CNN) -- A lot of hot air is in the forecast for Live Oak, Florida this weekend, along with blue skies -- yellow, red, green and white skies, too.
The Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park's second annual Hot Air Balloon Classic lifts off Friday. In addition to a day of workshops and educational activities for kids, a "Twilight Balloon Glow" will be held for the general public at 8 p.m. The balloonists will light up the colorful, seven-story balloons with their propane tanks.
The competition begins Saturday at 7 a.m., when Balloon Tour America pilots will begin the first of four scheduled races for $5,000 in prizes, weather permitting. Spectators who want to get in on the fun can take tethered balloon rides, as well as 45-minute balloon trips ($160) and helicopter rides.
For those who would rather keep their feet on terra firma, the festival offers bluegrass performances, a pet show, a Honey Festival recipe contest and puppet shows, among other activities.
Admission is $2 per person or $5 per family each day. For more information, visit the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park's Web site (see "Related sites" below).
