Newly marrieds embrace sun and surf. Beaches are the prime attraction at the top 10 honeymoon destinations named by travel agents in a survey by the American Society of Travel Agents, Fodor's Hot Spots and Bridal Guide magazine. By far the largest number of travel agents named Jamaica, which was mentioned by 25.9 percent, and Hawaii, by 21.5 percent.

James Ashurst, an ASTA spokesman, explains why the beaches of Jamaica and Hawaii attract so many starry-eyed newlyweds:

"Both Jamaica and Hawaii have excellent resorts and wonderful packages that honeymooners can purchase that make these destinations very attractive not only because of their beauty but also because of how far their dollar will go when they visit these places. The resorts are all-inclusive so once you get there you don't have to worry about anything at all. After the arduous task of pulling off a wedding, that's exactly what they're looking for -- a complete and utter getaway."
