National Museum of Natural History

Its dinosaur collection makes this museum possibly the most popular among school kids. In addition to the free-standing Stegosaurus, Diplodocus and Allosaurus fossils in the Dinosaur Hall, visitors will find many ancient treasures among more than 120 million objects in the museum's research collections. Other exhibits include two preserved giant squids, a butterfly garden, an insect zoo, a life-size blue whale, living coral reefs and the Hope Diamond.
