One of those restaurants is in nearby Calistoga. Catahoula Restaurant and Saloon is a refreshing change from the usual European cuisine of most wine country restaurants. There's pizza, along with Southern-inspired dishes like chicken and dumplings and spicy gumbo ya ya.
And of course, there is wine, including the sparkling variety.
