
Once out of the city, road signs soon welcome tourists to wine country, and endless rows of grape vines punctuate the arrival. Our first stop was Ferrari-Carano Vineyards and Winery in the Sonoma Valley.
"I think Ferrari-Carano is a destination winery, and I think (tourists) come here for the gardens. And I also think they come here, of course, for the wines," said Rhonda Carano, one of the winery's owners.
