Inner-being devotees and New Yorkers would perhaps beg to differ -- but Fremont plainly stakes claim to "Center of the Universe" at the heart of town, where Fremont Avenue, Fremont Place and North 36th Street converge. The sign points out such worthy sights as the Louvre (about 6,060 miles -- we don't recommend walking) and the Troll, the grandest landmark in all of Fremont.
