The pilgrimage has begun -- for the 20th year, fans from across the country, from around the world ... are making their way to that mecca of all Elvis Presley meccas to mark the day the music died.
3734 Elvis Presley Boulevard, Memphis, Tennessee -- Graceland Mansion. The place where the King of Rock and Roll lived -- and died.
But you don't have to trek to Memphis to experience the power of Elvis. No -- Elvis, or some part of him, is everywhere. He's at a Nevada truck stop, a Toronto shoe museum, even in Montana as a hand-painted, plywood Christmas decoration -- anywhere reverent (and irreverent) fans have found artifacts and a place to put them.
Elvis, my friends, is near you.
