Patagonia
The region of Patagonia in southern Argentina is a favorite of nature lovers. Most of Patagonia's small population (only 3 percent of Argentina's total) lives and farms in the plateau's two major river valleys. Tourists know Patagonia for its major glaciers along the Patagonian Andes in the west. At the eastern edge of Patagonia along the South Atlantic Ocean, tourists gather to see dolphins, sea lions, penguins and other coastal life.
