[00:00:09] GEORGE HOWELL, CNN NEWSROOM ANCHOR: More than 100 arrested in Brussels after people defy a ban on mass demonstrations, we'll have that report for you.

Plus, another piece of debris washed off from the Indian Ocean offers hope for a conclusive evidence of what happened to missing flight MH370.

And Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump does something out of character, we will tell you what he admits was a mistake.

From CNN world headquarters in Atlanta, welcome to our viewers around the world. I'm George Howell, Newsroom starts, right now.

Good day to you. We begin this hour in Brussels were tensions remain high in the Belgian capital just 12 days after the deadly terror attacks there. Protesters took to the streets on Saturday despite a banned on public demonstrations, at least 140 people were arrested.

Alexandra Field is in Brussels and has this report of what happened.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

ALEXANDRA FIELD, CNN CORRESPONDENT: Police run in full force across the city of Brussels. Officials tell us they made some 140 arrests to people who are refusing to follow orders not to demonstrate and not to protest this weekend. That order was given by city officials earlier in the week after a right wing anti-immigrant group announced plans to sage a demonstration in Molenbeek a community that is heavily immigrant.

That demonstration was ultimately canceled, however a crowd had gathered in Molenbeek perhaps to counter that planned march, instead that group started its group march toward the center of Brussels, they were push back by police officers heavily armed in riot here and even using crowd control vehicle. Those weren't the only arrests of the day, however we also saw arrest they in Place de la Bourse, that's the square in the middle of Brussels, were people have been gathering since the bombings at the metro and the airport to memorialize and commemorate the victims often leaving flowers and well wishes. But a big crowd did gather there today, that's what prompted police to come in, they ask members of the crowds to disperse those who didn't were taken into custody. We're told that all the people who were arrested connected to these demonstrations and marches face administrative charges for failing to follow the orders not to demonstrate. That means they'll get a couple hours to detention and also potentially a fine.

In Brussels, Alexandra Field, CNN.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HOWELL: Now, in the coming hours Brussels main airport will partially reopen to passengers for the first time since the terror attacks at that airport and the metro station. Three inbound flights, only three are scheduled to Portugal, Italy, and Greece. The airport will be accessible only by car not by public buses or trains. More flights will be added in the next few days and weeks.

Now, to missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370, a piece of debris in the island nation of Mauritius, it may actually explain what happened, Mauritius. Hotel workers found a piece of wreckage on the beach on Thursday 239 people as you remember were on board that plane when it disappeared in 2014.

Our aviation correspondent Richard Quest has this report.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

RICHARD QUEST, CNN AVIATION CORRESPONDENT: From the pictures that we've seen, it this one seems pretty clear cut. It is obviously a part of an internal panel, it's believed to be from the business class section and the -- that the pattern of the wall is very distinctive got a type of flower pattern and if you compare this piece to pieces that there will be no about already, and look at it on what's on the planes then you see there's actually very seeming about it's identical.

So, this would suggest that the piece did come from MH370 and it would also telling investigators that the plane didn't indeed breakup by there in the air or when it hit the water and didn't manage to land or do a gentle ditching in the ocean.

How much more it will tell investigators of course is somewhat suspect. It's unlikely to tell them exactly where the plane went down and it's not going to give any secrets away about what happened on board the aircraft, but the more pieces of debris they find, the greater the picture they will get of how the aircraft came out of the sky by looking at compression, fractures, rips and tears, they'll be able to determine the forces that the plane went through as it went into the water. That's in the long way from that, but this is one more piece of a very complicated puzzle.

Richard Quest, CNN, New York.

(END VIDEO CLIP) HOWELL: Armenian and Azerbaijan forces are blaming each other after deadly clashes over the weekend.

[00:05:00] State media report at least 18 Armenian and 12 Azerbaijani troops are dead and dozens wounded at their fighting between the two sides on Saturday. And Azerbaijani report suggest their helicopter were shutdown while carrying out airstrikes on the Armenian military.

Meanwhile, six Armenian tanks and 15 artillery units were destroyed. Long simmering tensions boiled over in Nagorno -- Karabakh I should say. A long disputed region occupied by Armenian forces that surrounded and claimed by Azerbaijan.

Syrian forces have uncovered a mass grave in Palmyra, nearly a week after recapturing that ancient city from ISIS. Syria media reports at least 40 bodies were discovered there, many were women and children and some showed signs of beheading and torture.

The victims are believed to be among hundreds killed by ISIS after it seems Palmyra back in May. The recent terror attack in Pakistan is highlighting the danger of being a Christian there. The suicide bombing at a park in Lahore on Easter Sunday killed more than 70 people, it wounded hundreds of others. A Talibans -- Taliban splinter group claimed responsibility saying that it was targeting Christians there.

It was the latest in string of attacks that has seen churches bombed, it seemed homes burned and families left living in fear. At now in an exclusive report, CNNs Saiman Mosh -- Mohsin I should say, takes us inside the small community to show us how it's coping. Tune in on Monday only on CNN for that exclusive report.

Greece is facing demonstrations over the east. New refugee deal with Turkey that goes into effect on Monday. Dozens of migrants in Greece start to traffic to protest. The closing of borders to Western Europe, they block this highway that you see near the Greek-Macedonian border.

One Syrian refugee said, no one was paying attention to their suffering, and on Friday hundreds of migrants march against the EU deal, it calls for migrants who have traveled to Greece from Turkey to be sent back in exchange, the EU will take in Syrian refugees. Thousands of migrants had refugees continue to cross the Mediterranean each week.

The International Organization for Migration says. More than 169,000 people had made that very dangerous track so far this year with most arriving into Greece. The Greek coast guard says, more than half of the arrivals are from Syria.

Earlier our Jonathan Mann spoke with journalist Elinda Labropoulou about the EU deal. He has asked her how migrants are facing deportation and what their reactions are.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP) ELINDA LABROPOULOU, JOURNALIST: That they thought that this would give them the right, the ability to starts a better life and then now they're hearing that this maybe taken away from them, so they're trying to leave the camps on the Islands of Philbrick (ph) close to Lesbos and another main entry point into the European.

The EU again there have been clashes between mainly migrants and refugees, so those maybe fortunate enough to stay and those working -- no longer qualifying as able so you can claim asylum in Europe.

So, migrants there brought defense, they left while the camps, they went to the poors (ph) of hills, they've been sleeping there, tonight as a second night of their sleeping that's been holding banners all morning saying, "Turkey no, Germany yes", they're willing to freedom.

So they're trying to do all they can to make sure that they can get on both leave the islands and go to the main land, go to Athens and from there, they're hoping that by making the ways to the northern border that they'll be able to answer Europe.

Now you have until December, there's a lot of misinformation and a lot of that misconceptions that are going around this camp, some people still think that the borders are open, sure as they fast in the borders remain shots. So they're less with very little choice and the more they realize this, the more they realize faster, those who do not qualify for asylum maybe turn back that's anger and that panic simply rises Jonathan.

Quick as always themselves they're saying that they not actually prepare, they're saying that they're immensely under stop that they have us were lots of help from the EU, but the personnel that they've been promised has not arrived yet. As on Monday the returns begin. So and just to show you how -- how difficult it will be to persuade this people to go back, from what we're hearing for every one person that's going to be resettled, they have to be escorted by one EU officer.

So, as I understand, you know, there so much fail that so this people will trying to do all they can, they know what is to be able to stay.

HOWELL: You're watching CNN Newsroom.

And still ahead the U.S. Democratic presidential candidates are ranching up there attacks on each other.

[00:10:02] Coming up, we will tell you why Clinton and Sanders are debating about debating.

Plus, Donald Trump hasn't how character moment you could say making what some might even call, an apology.

Stay with us.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK) HOWELL: Welcome back. The small plane crushed into a car park on the shoulder of a Californian highway, while making an emergency landing. Killing a woman in that vehicle. The impact pushed the bumper and trunk of the Sedan into the back seat.

Authorities say the vehicle had pulled over to sink a phone with the cars in tube system. Five people were injured including the pilot and a passenger in that aircraft.

America's Choice 2016 U.S Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump surprised some people on Saturday, he admitted to making a mistake. Something voters are not used to hear in from the billionaire. He told the "New York Times", that he re-credit -- re- tweeting an unflattering photo of his rival's wife, Heidi Cruz, but it wasn't all contrition from the GOP frontrunner, he also promised to raise the U.S. debt currently at $19 trillion within two terms as president.

Mr. Trump is so comfortably ahead in the delegate count but the possibility of the contested convention lose large over the Republican race. Our Tom Foreman deals into what that would mean for the candidates chances at the White House.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

TOM FOREMAN, CNN CORRESPONDENT: There's a reason they call it a floor fight if no candidate can get that magic number of delegates and necessary to clinch the nomination before the convention begins. Now let's look at the delegate count right now. Donald Trump is the closest but if he doesn't get that number before the convention start, or let's say you actually get to the convention and you have a floor full of people out here who have Trump signs but on the first vote he does not get enough to get the nomination support way, well then we have a real problem, because a floor fight is under way at that point.

Why? Because after the first vote, many of this delegates become unbound, that means they can vote for whomever they wish not necessarily the person show some other people back in their states, so people were holding Trump sign may suddenly be holding Cruz signs or maybe Kasich signs or maybe sign for somebody else all together.

Every state has its own rules, the convention have its own rules when it starts and it won't always be clear which rules override other rules and you can bet all three of those campaigns, will be doing all they can to twist arms out here to bend the rules and to push through referees to try to get an advantage. And it could get very better and very nasty, but there's a reason the party does not want that to happen.

[00:15:08] Overwhelming reason, look at this from Pew Research Center, these are the numbers in the Republican Party, if the nominee is chosen on the first ballot, 64 percent of the time that nominee will go on to win the White House. Second ballot or later, only 50 percent of the time and these numbers by the way are even worst from the Democratic Party, there is a real cost to be paid by a party that goes into his convention undecided. (END VIDEO CLIP)

HOWELL: That was our Tom Foreman reporting there for us.

The Democrats are focusing on two very important primaries coming up in Wisconsin and New York, and the attacks between Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders are heating up. Our Chris Frates reports the two candidates are debating about debating.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

CHRIS FRATES, CNN CORRESPONDENT: Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton campaigning in heart of Wisconsin in that northern city of Oakley today, but before either candidate even hit the ground here in Wisconsin, they were throwing mud at each other. The Clinton campaign accusing the Bernie Sanders campaign of rejecting three different dates to debate in New York in April, saying this, "The Sanders' campaign needs to stop using the New York primary as a playground for political games and negative attacks against Hillary Clinton."

Now the spokesman for the Sanders' campaign Michael Briggs, firing back hard with his own statement today saying, "Unfortunately the dates and venue she has proposed didn't make a lot of sense. The idea that they wanted to be in New York on a night of the NCCA finals with Syracuse in the tournament no less is ludicrous. We have proposed other dates which they have rejected, we hope we can reach agreement in the near future."

Now support remember number how this all started after Bernie Sanders had a big weekend sweeping winds in Washington, Alaska and Hawaii. He challenged Hillary Clinton to a debate in her adopted home state of New York, for about a week, Hillary Clinton was rather non committal than yesterday, her campaign saying that they are trying to workout the dates with the Sanders' campaign and then today, the Clinton campaign going after the Sanders' campaign saying that they're playing games with these dates, the Sanders campaign of course denying and the reason why this New York primary is so important, many people expect that Bernie Sanders will be able to win here Wisconsin but he able to close the gap in delegates that he has.

He is laying by about 240 delegates, he needs to offset her in New York. There's a huge catch of delegates available and the Empire State about 250, that second only to California and Bernie Sanders can pull a win there and off set Hillary Clinton in her adopting home state, he comes very close to helping close that gap against Hillary Clinton.

So Sanders and Clinton pushing (ph) out when they're going to have this debate is very important when and where could have a big impact on that April 19th of primary, so we're going to continue to watch that here in Wisconsin.

Chris Frates, CNN, Oakley, Wisconsin.

(END VIDEO CLIP) HOWELL: And of course remember you can join us here "All Day" on CNN, Tuesday for a complete coverage of the critical Wisconsin primary, only here on CNN.

Switching now to weather. An unwelcome late season chill is being felt across much of the United States and on Meteorologist Karen Maginnis is here to tell us about and Karen I think people are confused, it's spring time, shouldn't be warm, it's cold, what's happening?

KAREN MAGINNIS, CNN INTERNATIONAL METEOROLOGIST: But yeah, it's a typical April, it's exactly what happened and that is you almost can't count on anything in April. Typically you think of it is perhaps the beginning of severe weather season and certainly across North America it is where in the United States we have more tornadic activity than any other place on earth.

But we've got this ridge of high pressure, but this hasn't happened until we go later on into the next several days but a clipper system one right after the other, we'll have what is going to be referred to at short duration but high impact, what is that cold for? That means, your going to see snow and your going to see blustering conditions reinforcing cold air, it's not going to last very long, but you were definitely going to feel like you were not in spring time, it's going to feel like winter and places like Boston, in (inaudible), in Buffalo.

And temperatures even in New York city are only going to be in a single digit, you don't start to moderate into about the middle of the work week, Washington D.C, you'll be seem temperatures are good, 10 to 15 degrees below where it should be for this time of year and even down towards Atlanta, temperatures that have been so nice for so long are definitely going to be cooling down as well. And a slight rebound as we go into the next 3 to 5 days.

We'll take a look at what happened in China, drifty overcast the poor visibility and yes we saw 56 vehicles pile up, they were two reported fatalities here, they were about 29 people taken to the hospital.

[00:20:03] And whether definitely there perhaps one of the contributing factors to this multi-car vehicle pile up. Oh how terrifying to take a look at that.

And a quick look as we -- take a look at the southern hemisphere, (inaudible), low chance with quick see some tropical development take place here computer modes are saying are not a very good chance, but we'll keep an eye out on it for you. George, back to you.

HOWELL: Karen, thank you.

A controversial drug is being used to treat children. Coming up, why one family says marijuana is the only medical remedy that works for their two-year-old child?

Stay with us.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HOWELL: Welcome back to CNN NEWSROOM. I'm George Howell.

A lion attack just outside of Kenya's capital, is racing concerns about Africa's wild animals living near big cities. Lions have wondered off of Nairobi's National Park three times this past month alone.

CNNs Ian Lee reports the animals are terrifying citizens and alarming wild life officials.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

IAN LEE, CNN CORRESPONDENT: A group of men surrounding a escape line from Nairobi National Park, taking pictures and throwing rocks. The famous, the lion known as Mohawk, lashes out injuring one person.

Wild life rangers arrived on scene but without tranquilizers, they shoot and killed the big catch. The action taken as a last resort out of concern for public safety, say officials.

Tenants (ph) were outrage, many criticizing the wild life service and using the hashtag #JusticeforMohawk. This is the fourth time a lion has escape Nairobi National Park in about a month.

The 117 square kilometer park buts up to the city of over 3 million. Home to an array of animals including zebras, giraffes and, antelope, despite the escapes, your heart press to find a lion in the park. Only 35 lines lived here according to wild life officials, but when they escape, they can be dangerous.

MICHAEL ODORI, LION ATTACK SURVIVOR: I said, oh God, why all this but they commit.

LEE: A lion attack Michael Odori, while he was on his way to work.

ODORI: I saw his taking out of his teeth, coming from what (inaudible).

LEE: The (inaudible) fled but not before crushing his shoulder, the claws ripping his flesh. Act of a spear encounters like this could grow more comment.

As the city of Nairobi continues to expand and develop around the park it's incrossing on the habitat of not only the lions but the lions prey, conservationist say that this will increase the likelihood of lions leading the park and encountering humans.

The city has expanded 10 fold since the 1940s. The land surrounding the park is privately owned and prime real estate. In recent road huddling through the park has also reduced habitat, some lines leave the park searching for food, mainly livestock putting them into direct conflict with humans. And then they're the migratory routes.

PAUL GATHITU, KENYA WILDLIFE SERVICE: Wildlife is to migrate into those particular areas and that particular area is now very settled. [00:25:02] So it means that when they come out they now get closer to people.

LEE: If a plan isn't developed that officials might to be force to fence off the park turning the Nairobi National Park into the National Zoo.

Ian Lee, CNN, Nairobi.

HOWELL: Turning now to Israel, and the issue of medical marijuana. A family is using the controversial drug to treat their sons chronic health condition at is their last hope. As other treatments have failed to bring the toddler any relief.

CNNs Oren Liebermann has this report for us.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

OREN LIEBERMANN, CNN CORRESPONDENT: For two and a half-year-old Lavie Parush, moments of joy are all to breathe. Diagnosed a severe epilepsy cerebral palsy from birth leading him with brain damage, he suffered seizures dozens a day.

Now they're nearly all gone, because a few drops a day of medical marijuana, cannabis oil mixed into his food.

ASAF PARUSH, LAVIE PARUSH'S FATHER: We saw a difference immediate, and then after a few weeks we didn't see any seizures at all.

LIEBERMANN: Other medicines didn't work his father says or worst caused severe side effects. Lavie has now been on medical cannabis for year and a half.

This cannabis oil was developed in Northern Israel, the oil is high in CBD, the pharmacological ingredient in cannabis and low in THC, the psycho active ingredient, the drug that makes you high.

There's little research on the effects of medical cannabis on babies, but Parush has all the results he needs. Lavie has not a seizure in months.

PARUSH: This is kind of when we feel that.

LIEBERMANN: He takes the CBD oil daily and the second oil with THC only when Lavie is having a bad day.

When you hear Lavie, a drop of THC that the psycho active ingredient in cannabis it makes him high.

PARUSH: In the beginning we were pretty anxious about it I guess, but then we thought well, what are we seeing, you know, what I mean we're seeing this kid that was before he was in distress and now he isn't?

LIEBERMANN: At home, Parush and his wife play with Lavie and his little sister Gefen. The difference in development is stunning, she is 10 months old a third of Lavie's age yet she can hold toys and play with her parents and so much more.

This Asaf Parush fears will always be too much for Lavie, instead he just hopes one day, to hear his son say Dad.

Oren Libermann, CNN, Moran, Israel.
