A.J. HAMMER, HOST: Right now on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, "SHOWBIZ Justice." Hugh Jackman`s horror, his dangerous close call with a stalker.
Kim Kardashian, camera shy? The startling new development in Kim K.`s divorce trial. Will it be on TV? A year and a half has passed since Kim split, but is she any closer to being divorced? Tom Cruise`s divorce attorney weighs in. She reveals if this could turn into the most massive divorce in Hollywood history.
SHOWBIZ TONIGHT starts right now.
Hello, I`m A.J. Hammer. Thank you so much for watching.
I have to tell you that tonight, just like Americans everywhere, we are all touched by the tragedy of the terror bombing at the Boston Marathon. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you that today there was a remarkable outpouring of grief, sympathy, and messages of support from just about every big star in Hollywood and beyond. Our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT producers have been tracking the tearful and overwhelming response, which continues even at this late hour.
KELLY RIPA, CO-HOST, ABC`S "LIVE WITH KELLY AND MICHAEL": It`s that kind of stuff that -- that makes you scared as a parent, makes you scared as a child.
HAMMER (voice-over): Kelly Ripa began "Live with Kelly and Michael" this morning with a sentiment many were feeling today, the day after the horrific bombing in Boston left more than 100 people injured and several dead, including 8-year-old Martin Richard.
RIPA: I am hiding the newspaper and the cover of the newspaper from my 10- year-old, because I don`t want him to know that an 8-year-old little boy died in that blast.
HAMMER: As we learn more today about the victims, the bombing and the investigation, the sadness and shock ran deep, including for those whose job it is to entertain.
ELLEN DEGENERES, TALK SHOW HOST: Before we end the show today, I want to tell everyone in Boston that we`re thinking about you.
HAMMER: Ellen DeGeneres ended her show this afternoon with a solemn acknowledgement of the Boston tragedy.
DEGENERES: Please know that you`re in our hearts. Be kind to one another.
HAMMER: While some stars are watching the Boston tragedy from afar, many are personally affected, especially those with ties to Boston, including heartbroken Boston native Mark Wahlberg, who tweeted "Thoughts and prayers with my hometown Boston today." And Boston native Ben Affleck tweeted "Such a senseless and tragic day. My family and I send our love to our beloved and resilient Boston."
TOM BERGERON, HOST, ABC`S "DANCING WITH THE STARS": Our thoughts are with everyone in Boston.
HAMMER: Last night on "Dancing with the Stars," host Tom Bergeron, who`s a native of Massachusetts, spoke about his hometown heartbreak.
BERGERON: I have family members and many friends there. My heart is with you.
HAMMER: And after the show several of the contestants competing on "Dancing with the Stars" told SHOWBIZ TONIGHT they were dancing with heavy hearts.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Just for us it was hard to do.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: It just really makes you feel sick.
KELLIE PICKLER, CONTESTANT, ABC`S "DANCING WITH THE STARS": We`re all praying for everyone who was affected by this.
HAMMER: Late this afternoon, Donald Trump shared with me his thoughts on the terror attack in Boston.
(on camera): So as a New Yorker who, like so many of us, were so personally touched by the 9/11 attacks, I`ve got to know. What was the first thing that went through your mind when you heard about the attack in Boston?
DONALD TRUMP, REAL ESTATE MOGUL: Well, it`s almost hard to believe. You`re talking about innocent children again like 9/11. You`re talking about innocent people, again like 9/11, like whatever it could be. You`re talking about innocent people.
You have to catch the perpetrators. You have to catch the people that did it.
HAMMER (voice-over): We all watched on TV some amazing images of the Boston attack, like the 78-year-old runner who the entire world saw being knocked down by the blast. But he got up and finished the marathon, and today "Sports Illustrated" revealed that he will be on the cover of its new issue.
BILL IFFRIG, MARATHONER: Shock waves just hit my whole body.
HAMMER: That 78-year-old runner is Bill Iffrig, who told CNN`s Piers Morgan that his passion for running remains unbroken.
PIERS MORGAN, CNN ANCHOR: Will you continue to run marathons after this, Bill?
IFFRIG: Oh, yes. I don`t stop for this.
HAMMER: SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can also tell you that star athletes are showing their support for Boston in interesting ways.
NFL receiver Danny Amendola has pledged that, for each passing catch with his new team, Boston`s beloved New England Patriots, he`ll donate $100 to the charity to aid bomb victims, and he`ll donate $200 for each pass he drops.
And hours after the bombing, Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Ben Revere took to the baseball diamond with a glove saying, "Pray for Boston."
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: ... to center field.
HAMMER: Revere then used that glove to make a spectacular catch.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: What a play!
HAMMER: After the game Revere told reporters his heart was in Boston.
PAUL REVERE, PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES PLAYER: I reach out for the families out there and everything. Just keep them in my heart. Whether I`m at the house or playing at the ball field, I`ll have them in my heart.
HAMMER: Now whether they`re in Hollywood, New York, Washington or anywhere else in America, everyone has Boston in their hearts.
HAMMER: Well, among the many celebrities affected by the Boston bombing was an Olympic gold medal winner. Summer Sanders, who actually ran in the Boston Marathon, she joins us tonight on the phone from Park City, Utah.
Thank you so much for being with us tonight, Summer.
SUMMER SANDERS, OLYMPIC GOLD MEDAL WINNER/MARATHONER (via phone): Thank you. Thanks for having me. Obviously, with an extremely heavy heart, being a part of yesterday. It started out so magical, and I will never forget it for many reasons, but I do have to say that 27,000 of us that started that started as a family, and we were held together by these huge hugs from the whole city of Boston that cheered us on. And I feel like now all of those runners and everybody around are hugging the city itself and everyone who was affected by yesterday.
HAMMER: And we always talk about that in times like this, how heartening it is, how everybody just comes together so quick and amazingly. And I`d like to you take me back to the time after you finished the marathon. You had just finished it about an hour before when you heard the bombs going off. You were already back in your hotel room. What happened next?
SANDERS: Wasn`t actually an hour. I mean, when I time it, I crossed the finish line at 3:37. And then I went to the medical tent for a little while. And I probably left there about 10 -- like maybe 20 minutes after that.
So I literally had just walked into our hotel room, which was the Lennox Hotel, which was right across the street from the first blast. And when I heard it -- and I mean when you hear something like that, you immediately think you know what it is, but you don`t want to believe that that`s what it is. And we all freaked out. We could feel it. The windows were shaking.
And then about 20 seconds later, we heard the other blast, and we saw it out our window. And that`s when we saw people just running in the other direction. And we looked out the window and we just saw this mass exodus from the finish itself of just people running and walking away. And still, we didn`t know exactly what was going on. But that`s -- that`s the scariest position I`ve ever been in in my life, and yet, I felt for everyone who was out there on the street.
HAMMER: Yes, I have to imagine how frightening it must have been. You hear these sounds, these explosions. You see people fleeing. And of course, there`s that great unknown what may be next to happen. Were you worried at all about your own safety at that the point?
SANDERS: I think when you`re in that position, you either want to help and be active and helping those people and the people that are injured or if you`re a parent, which I am, you just want to get yourself home to your kids. And that`s the first thing I thought of, is I said, "We`ve got get out of here. We have to get out of here."
We were on the ninth floor of the hotel that was right across from both of those blasts. And so we tried -- we caused down stairs and said can we leave? And they said, "No, the police have locked down this hotel. No one can leave." So we sat in our room and we watched on TV, and we were worried and worried. And then we had an alarm and a siren and the police knocking on our door saying, "Everyone evacuate immediately."
So now you`re walking down the stairs and you`re -- you`re trying to hold it together and not think the worst. But I was extremely frightened. And my mom was behind me, and she just kept saying to me, "It`s not our time. It`s not our time." We made -- the nine floors down and walked out with the rest of everyone else that was on the street that just -- we don`t know where to go. Just sort of walking around. And you know just -- you know, it`s kind of an out-of-body experience, a bit of a shock.
HAMMER: I must tell you I could feel your emotions running high from your tweets yesterday after hearing that people were killed and injured. And I also read how you were, like everybody, so affected by the little boy who was killed, 8-year-old Martin Richard. I know as you mentioned, you`re a mom, yourself, so what was going through your mind as far as that motherly instinct?
SANDERS: There were several things that were going through my mind and first being how much the city of Boston and all the surrounding cities that embraced us during our run and how -- yes, we were running for our goal of crossing the finish line, but it was every single person out there that was supporting us and cheering us on. And handing us gummy bears and orange slices. And a lot of those people that were handing us were these little hands of young children that just wanted to be a part of this marathon, and when you took their glass of water or their orange, it made their day.
And so I thought of that moment. And of course, I thought of my own children and how everyone had asked me, are your kids coming to the marathon? And I didn`t bring them with me. And it was at that moment when I said I`m so glad my children aren`t here.
But I wanted so badly to get home to them and give them a hug. That was the highest priority of all.
But my heart, my heart absolutely goes out to the parents, to the parents of that young boy and his sister and all of the people who were affected and injured by yesterday`s tragedy. It is senseless and awful.
But I want people to remember that something good could come of this. And I like how all of the running community is banding together to run for Boston. And I hope not to be scared. I hope not to live in fear and be worried about where it`s going to happen next. I want to make sure that this senseless act and the people who did this know that they didn`t win, and we will run again.
HAMMER: Well, Summer, like everybody else, I know you`ll be holding your family that much closer. I do so appreciate your sharing your experience with us. Summer Sanders, thanks so much.
HAMMER: We are switching gears right now to Hugh Jackman`s personal terror. So an alleged stalker with a razor attacked Hugh at his New York City gym, and tonight, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is revealing Hugh`s emotional reaction. It`s "SHOWBIZ Justice" with new details about Hugh`s frightening run-in.
Ozzy Osbourne`s startling drug confession tonight. Ozzy`s major relapse had led to reports that he and his wife Sharon split up after 31 years of marriage. So Ozzy himself is setting the record straight. And another SHOWBIZ legend is right here with his take. There he is. Our good friend Danny Bonaduce weighing in on this shocker from the first family of reality TV.
HAMMER: Tonight`s "SHOWBIZ Justice." Hugh Jackman`s scary encounter. An alleged stalker with a razor attacks Jackman outside of his New York City gym. His reaction to it was heard on New York City radio station and it is just remarkable.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
HUGH JACKMAN, ACTOR: Especially for me, the primary concern is my family, obviously. You know, here`s a woman who obviously needs help, so I just hope she gets the help she needs.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: Hugh Jackman actually showing compassion there after a dangerously close call with an alleged stalker. A completely wild story involving Hugh and his family topping "SHOWBIZ Justice" tonight. The question is, is Hugh and is his family still in danger?
Jackman was working out at the gym on Sunday when suddenly a woman who had previously approached his wife and young daughter last week, shouted to him, "We`re going to get married, right?" She then threw a razor filled with hair at Jackman. Well, he wasn`t hurt. The woman was arrested and she remains in jail tonight.
Attorney Darren Kavinoky is joining me from Hollywood tonight. Darren is the host of "Deadly Sins" on Investigation Discovery. And this is quite a sin. Apparently, this woman`s family claims, Darren, she has tried to follow Hugh before. I`m sitting here wondering if this arrest can really prevent her from possibly stalking him again.
DARREN KAVINOKY, HOST, INVESTIGATION DISCOVERY`S "DEADLY SINS": Well, the arrest may not, but the court order that will likely follow will hopefully do that. This will be an opportunity for the court to now weigh in and command her to stay some distance away from Hugh; certainly, while the case is pending, and then a great deal after its conclusion.
Hugh or anybody else who feels like they`re being threatened also has the opportunity to go into court to get a restraining order. And that`s another layer of protection that can happen, separate and apart from the criminal court process.
And I must say, a very generous reaction from Hugh recognizing that clearly, we`re dealing with somebody, to use the expression, two scoops of crazy may be two scoops too few.
HAMMER: So the question is, should Hugh and his family still be worried, Darren? Because quite frankly, an order of protection, at the end of the day, is just a piece of paper if you don`t have cops standing around you to enforce it.
KAVINOKY: That`s right. The thing a protective order does do, though, is it raises the stakes, and it certainly raises the manner in which police will respond if they are called upon.
Let`s face it, much like this attack, this tragedy that`s unfolded in Boston, there only two ways that we can go. We can either live our lives in a very small way, driven by fear, or we can live our lives in a courageous way and act in spite of. And thankfully, that looks like exactly the path that Hugh is going.
HAMMER: Yes. Well, stating the obvious here, hopefully, it is the last, at least this threat, for Hugh and his family. Darren, thanks again.
KAVINOKY: Thanks, A.J.
HAMMER: All right. Right now we move on to Jada Pinkett Smith`s open marriage. So you know Jada and Will Smith have been married for nearly 15 years and, for nearly 15 years, there have always been all kinds of questions about their marriage. So what`s the deal?
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
JADA PINKETT SMITH, WILL SMITH`S WIFE: Being married to a big superstar like Will, how do you deal with other women? And my answer`s always, "I`ve always told Will, `You can do whatever you want.`"
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: OK. Is Jada onto something, or is she just adding fuel to the firestorm of speculation about her marriage?
Also Kim Kardashian, camera shy? Startling new developments in Kim K.`s divorce trial about whether or not we will see the entire drama on TV.
Plus, the money, the fame, the TV wedding. Tom Cruise`s divorce attorney is here to weigh in on Kim K. She`s going to reveal if this could be the most massive Hollywood divorce in history. Which star marriage will top the "SHOWBIZ Countdown," "Marriage Madness"?
This is SBT, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, on HLN.

(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: So you know that children`s song that goes, "There was an old woman who swallowed a fly?" Well, tonight SHOWBIZ TONIGHT has a tale of a man who swallowed a diamond. He`s a thief who got caught up in a caught- on-tape heist that is quickly becoming legendary.
Here`s CNN`s Jeanne Moos for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.
JEANNE MOOS, CNN CORRESPONDENT (voice-over): The diamond ring went down the hatch as if it were a peanut.
DAVID BELLMAN, JEWELRY SHOW OWNER: The way he swallowed it, it was like no big deal. He just went, like, pop.
MOOS: Fifty-two-year-old Ronald Perley had come into Bellman`s Jewelry Shop in Manchester, New Hampshire, asking to see engagement rings. But when handed one, he bolted for the door, only to find he was locked in. When the sales woman said, "We want the ring," he swallowed it.
BELLMAN: He says, "What ring?" Just like that. A magician almost.
MOOS (on camera): Police arrived within minutes. Next stop, the hospital. Police had to ask a judge for a search warrant so they could x-ray the suspect. We can`t show you the x-ray because it`s now evidence.
(voice-over) But jewelry store owner David Bellman says the ring was clear as day, probably looked a bit like this x-ray from a book called "Stuck Up: 100 Objects Inserted and Ingested in Places They Shouldn`t Be."
Instead of being plugged in an outlet, there`s a cord in some guy`s rear socket, an eggbeater, Christmas lights, even Barbie dolls. Swallowed items range from a razor to a crack pipe. And who could forget the bank robber who swallowed the alleged holdup note? At least that had fiber.
It took the stolen engagement ring a little more than 24 hours to resurface.
BELLMAN: I guess at some point on Saturday morning, he pulled one of the guards aside and says, "I`m ready to produce the evidence."
MOOS: Police brought it over for Bellman to identify.
BELLMAN: Looks pretty darn good, actually.
MOOS (on camera): Good enough to wear.
MOOS: Or eat.
(on camera): The $3,200 plastic price tag was still attached. So what do you do with a ring that survived digestion?
BELLMAN: We`re going to auction it off for charity.
MOOS: The puns have been unpardonable. We know because we`re guilty of punning against an engagement ring that may never lead to "I do."
(on camera): In the case of this ring, it`s "I doo-doo."
(voice-over): Perley has been charged with felony theft and falsifying evidence.
(on camera): We`re imagining a new ad campaign...
(voice-over): "Bellman`s, Diamond in the Roughage."
HAMMER: That was Jeanne Moos for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. And by the way, the jewelry store owner is convinced that he`ll sell the ring now for more than the $3,500 price tag because, he says, it`s got a history. As they say, one man`s trash. Right?
OK. The London Olympics, the presidential election, the Harlem shake. You know, all of these things have come and gone, yet Kim Kardashian is still married to Kris Humphries. How is that possible? Tonight there are new questions whether or not the entire thing was a fake. The money, the fame, the TV wedding. What we`re breaking it all down with Tom Cruise`s divorce attorney. She reveals what could be going on inside Kim`s marriage mess.
Are the Osbornes splitting up, too? Ozzy admits that he fell off the wagon. Are he and Sharon done after 31 years of marriage? Well, our good friend, Danny Bonaduce, is right here, weighing in on this Ozzy shocker. What advice does Danny have, one legend to another? Which star marriage will top the "SHOWBIZ Countdown," "Marriage Madness"?
This is SBT, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, on HLN.
HAMMER: Right now the "SHOWBIZ Countdown," "Marriage Madness." Kim Kardashian, camera shy? The startling new development in Kim K.`s divorce trial. Will it be on TV?
Tom Cruise`s former divorce attorney is right here tonight with an insider`s revelation about what could really be going on behind closed doors.
Ozzy Osbourne`s startling drug confession revealed today. Did his major relapse lead to him splitting from his wife of more than 30 years, Sharon Osbourne? Ozzy tells all. And tonight Danny Bonaduce is right here to take on the shocker from the first family of reality TV. But which star marriage will top the SHOWBIZ Countdown of today`s marriage mayhem?
SHOWBIZ TONIGHT continues right now.
HAMMER: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. Thank you for watching. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York. And let`s kick off tonight`s SHOWBIZ Countdown of marriage madness, the top three stunning shake-ups that made big news today.
We begin with startling new developments in the Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries showdown coming up at their divorce trial with two big victories for Kim this week, and the trial set for May Sixth, obviously, hasn`t even started yet. But the judge has just ruled that no cameras will be allowed in the courtroom. And he has reportedly just denied a request from Kris Humphries to review some of Kim`s e-mails from closed accounts. So are these latest victories a sign that Kim Kardashian is going to be the one to come out on top here? With us tonight someone who has been right there in the thick of some of the biggest celebrity divorces of our time. Marilyn Chinitz is the former divorce attorney for both Tom Cruise and Michael Douglas. She`s with me tonight in New York. It`s great having you here, Marilyn.
MARILYN CHINITZ, FORMER DIVORCE ATTORNEY FOR BOTH TOM CRUISE AND MICHAEL DOUGLAS: Thank you, nice to be here.
HAMMER: So, you were right there at the center of Tom Cruise`s divorce from Katie Holmes over this past year, you`ve got some real insight into these big star battles. Kris missed the first mandatory hearing for the trial on Friday. The judge was just furious about that. And now we have these new rulings this week. So does it seem to you that these little victories here could perhaps be leading to or somehow indicating that there`s going to be one big victory for Kim?
CHINITZ: Well, I don`t know that this necessarily means that there`s a big victory for Kim. The trial hasn`t begun yet. The fact that Kris did not show up for a mandatory hearing is something that`s going to be addressed by the court. Of course, he claims that he could not make his flight and therefore, it was not an intentional act on his part. That won`t go necessarily in any way towards the merits of what`s going to happen in the upcoming trial.
HAMMER: You just don`t want to tick off the judge at the end of the day, but ...
HAMMER: Kris, of course, as we know, is trying to prove fraud, he`s claiming that Kim married him to boost the ratings on her reality show. So Marilyn, given what we know about their reality TV history, do you see an easy road ahead for Kris or is this actually going to be pretty tough to prove, in your mind?
CHINITZ: I think it`s a very difficult theory on his part. It`s a very novel and interesting one because if Kim would go forward with the divorce action, there`s a prenuptial agreement, that prenuptial agreement would be upheld. And Kris would be out of the box in terms of trying to get some of the financial rewards of what they earned during their 72-day marriage. But having sued now for an annulment, Kris is saying if I have grounds for an annulment, the prenuptial agreement should be set aside.
CHINITZ: And that raises a lot of interesting issues. So I think this is a fairly, in my opinion, a desperate attempt on his part to get something where the prenuptial agreement would have barred him from getting anything.
HAMMER: OK, so to be clear, he proves fraud in this case. His lawyer has success doing that, then it`s an annulment and not a divorce, and then he could end up walking away with a bunch of Kim`s money?
CHINITZ: Well, not so easy. The fact is that if it is claimed that the marriage never existed then on what basis, you would ask, should he have any money if there was no marriage. So it`s an equity argument that he would make and he would make the argument, why should Kim walk away with millions of dollars that we jointly earned during this period of time. She would be unjustly enriched. I`m entitled to some of those monies. Then that`s an equity argument to be made before the court. Very difficult. And I think he has a very difficult road ahead of him.
HAMMER: Here`s what I really want to understand though, Marilyn. It`s been 18 months now since Kim filed for divorce after of course, just 72 days of marriage. Why in the world is this taking so long, do you think?
CHINITZ: Well, I think there could be a lot of reasons. If she had proceeded with the divorce action, it would have been over and we would have been done. I think Kris is really kicking up a lot of storm and almost sounds like a petulant child. Insisting that this case go on far longer than it should go on. It was a short marriage. It should have been concluded months ago. And it`s unfortunate that this is what drags on.
HAMMER: Yeah. Well, it`s great to get your insight particularly having worked with some of the biggest stars like Tom Cruise and Michael Douglas. Marilyn Chinitz, thank you again for being here, I appreciate it.
CHINITZ: Thank you. Thanks so much for having me.
HAMMER: Well, we move from ending a troubled marriage to a shocking report tonight out of Hollywood about an open marriage with Jada Pinkett Smith. Now once again trying to set the record straight about her marriage to Will Smith. This brings us to number two in our countdown of marriage madness tonight. Jada set off a firestorm of controversy when she opened up to "HuffPost Live`s" Marc Lamont Hill about how she makes her marriage work. Look at this.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
JADA PINKETT SMITH: I`ve always told Will, you can do whatever you want as long as you can look at yourself in the mirror and be OK.
MARC LAMONT HILL, "HUFFPOST LIVE" HOST: Wow.
PINKETT SMITH: OK? Because at the end of the day, Will is his own man. I`m here as his partner. But he is his own man. He has to decide who he wants to be. And that`s not for me to do for him.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: All right. That was what she told Huff Post`s Live`s Marc Lamont Hill who is with us tonight in New York. It`s great to see you, Marc.
LAMONT HILL: Good to see you, man.
HAMMER: I heard you in the background there saying "Wow!"
HAMMER: And after your interview, by the way, Jada, of course, took to her Facebook page to try to clarify what she said. Let me read a bit of what she wrote. "Here is how I will change my statement. Will and I both can do whatever we want because we trust each other to do so. This doesn`t mean we have an open relationship. This means we have a grown one." Marc, kind of seems like semantics to me. You went one-on-one with her. Do you get the understanding that she and Will do in fact, have an understanding that yeah, it could be looked at as an open marriage?
LAMONT HILL: That`s what I walked away with. You know, she started when I first said, you know, there are rumors about an open marriage, the first thing she said was well, no, then she proceeded to explain all the ways ...
LAMONT HILL: ... that it seems open to me. She said he can do whatever he wants to do, as long as he can look himself in the mirror. I said, well, can you do the same thing? She said yes, there`s even this - even compared it to the famous actor Ossie Davis and his wife Ruby Dee before he passed away. They had a very open marriage and Ruby Dee later talked about it. And I compared it to that. And I said is it one-sided like that relationship or is it even handed? She said it`s even handed. So, I walked away from that interview thinking that they had an open marriage. Now, let me say: I don`t think it`s anyone`s business what kind of relationship they have.
HAMMER: Well, yeah.
LAMONT HILL: I asked the question because everyone wanted to know and she was nice enough to answer it. But I walked away, thinking yeah, they had an open one.
HAMMER: I mean she`s just afraid to use the word open. So, given Jada`s comments to you, I`m guessing it doesn`t at all surprise you that people are confused by what she said because it certainly sounds like an open marriage even if she didn`t use the word.
LAMONT HILL: Absolutely. And I think celebrities walk that tight rope. Because on the one hand, they don`t want people in their business and they also don`t want to vehemently deny something that`s true because then what happens if, you know, something comes out later, they look like they have egg on their face, whereas if we acknowledge, look, we have a grown relationship, there`s an open relationship, you know, anything that comes out in the media is less titillating us, because they`ve already acknowledged that they can make different choices.
HAMMER: Well, Will and Jada are really one of those rare Hollywood couples that seem to be making their marriage work in spite of the fact that there are these (inaudible) reports that they are divorcing, that they are splitting up, that there are problems. When you had you your time with Jada, did you get the sense that she and Will are happily married right now?
LAMONT HILL: I`ve got the sense that they`re extremely happily married. I got the sense that many of those rumors that we heard six months ago were simply untrue. And that I`ve been in their company multiple times. And quite frankly, compared to most Hollywood, couples, they are like the Huxtables. I mean they actually love each other, they actually enjoy each other`s time together. They seem like best friends. I have no doubt that they have a strong healthy relationship. Whatever they`re doing, maybe we need to learn from that instead of just trying to figure out whether it`s open or not.
HAMMER: Yeah, and look, the fact is, people are going to be interested. These things will come out, and obviously, you were right to ask the question, being that it is sort of a tough subject to avoid
LAMONT HILL: Yes.
HAMMER: I also have to believe that their kids are a big reason why they sort of walk that line.
LAMONT HILL: I think there`s two reasons. I think one is the children, obviously, because it`s hard for children to make sense of more grown relationships. But there`s also the fact they are considered one of the models of a healthy family.
LAMONT HILL: You have the Obamas. You have Will and Jada, you`ve got Jay- Z and Beyonce.
LAMONT HILL: Now, there are few stable families that we have to look to. And I think they want to not disrupt - not just for, you know, public relations reasons, but because I think their relation is healthy and it matters to us.
HAMMER: Yeah, I think so. All right, Marc. Thank you for bringing that to us. It`s great to see you.
LAMONT HILL: Good to see you, man.
HAMMER: We continue our countdown of the top three stunning Hollywood relationship shake-ups now with Ozzy Osbourne, is his marriage to Sharon, his wife of 31 years over? Has he fallen off the wagon? Well, Danny Bonaduce who has had difficulties of his own with drugs and alcohol is right here to weigh in on his friend Ozzy Osbourne`s shocking admission.
Plus, I`m starting to think that Justin Bieber needs to come back to the U.S. I think he`s getting into way too much trouble overseas. Right? Tonight Justin getting slammed for sending out shirtless Instagram pictures of himself instead of apologizing after suggesting Holocaust icon Anne Frank would have been a belieber. Fair backlash? Or bum wrap for Bieber? This is SBT SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN.
HAMMER: Welcome back. Tonight in the SHOWBIZ Countdown, marriage madness. We have been counting down with the top three stunning shake-ups that made big news today. And at number three, just a short time ago, Tom Cruise`s former divorce attorney Marilyn Chintz revealed to us what to watch out for when the Kim Kardashian - Kris Humphries divorce battle heads to court next month. And at number two, Jada Pinkett Smith tries to set the record straight about reports that she has an open marriage with Will Smith, but really creates even more confusion.
That takes us to our big reveal, what`s number one in our SHOWBIZ Countdown of marriage mayhem tonight? Ozzy and Sharon. Ozzy Osbourne setting the record straight today about the startling brand new reports that he and Sharon were splitting up after more than 30 years of marriage, with a startling confession, he`s been abusing drugs and alcohol again and is recovering from a relapse. Here`s what Ozzy says. "For the last year and a half I`ve been drinking and taking drugs. I was in a very dark place and was an a-hole to the people I love most, my family. However, I am happy to say that I am now 44 days sober. Just to set the record straight, Sharon and I are not divorcing. I`m just trying to be a better person.
Former child star Danny Bonaduce certainly had his own struggles with substance abuse, but Danny, doing great right now as the morning talk radio host of the "Danny Bonaduce Show" on KZOK, 1025 in Seattle. Danny, it`s always great to have you here, and I read Ozzy`s words and I was thinking, you must be able to really relate to how tough it must have been for Ozzy to open up to his fans today about what he`s been going through.
DANNY BONADUCE, FORMER CHILD STAR: I do because I would never say any privileged information about anyone, let alone Ozzy or anybody else until they open that door. He told people I`ve been struggling. And the fact is I know Ozzy really well. I know Sharon because I`ve met her. I know Ozzy really, really well, and this is by and far and he`s told other people, so like I said, I would never out a guy even though I think you should - I think it`s best for you to tell the truth. But he - I`m not saying anything he hasn`t said. Ozzy`s relapsed at least four times since I`ve known him. I haven`t seen him in about a year and a half. So, I didn`t necessarily know about this one.
But he and I went to the same meeting every single day. And the interesting thing about this, a lot of interesting things, one is, he held it together for years at a time sometimes. But the meeting was -- this is something about what`s you know, this is called SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I happen to believe, Ozzy was not always the most famous person in this meeting, and I happen to believe that about half the people in that meeting did not have a substance abuse problem. They just came to meet the celebrities. And it became a stop on the Hollywood famous tour. The van would pull up and everybody that was outside smoking cigarettes would run into the building behind me.
So maybe it`s a little more difficult for people that are famous to get sober. But I don`t know. I don`t think it`s a walk in the park for anybody. I`ve been trying it, and the other thing is lying about it. At least Ozzy was - came forward and said here`s what I`ve been doing. You know, I lied rather than face the music for a decade and a half, two decades before I actually got anytime. And by the way, my time`s small. You know, I have two years two months. I never had a year before. In all the times you`ve met me and I`ve been talking about trying to get sober, I`ve never had a year before. And now I have two years two months.
HAMMER: Well, we were happy to hear that at least Ozzy and Sharon are not divorcing. According to Ozzy, he set the record straight on that. We saw on your reality show, "Breaking Bonaduce", how much drug and alcohol abuse can really weigh on a marriage, particularly when you`re living your life in the spotlight as you have, Danny. Tell us about that challenge.
BONADUCE: Well, I`ll tell you this first of all. I believe you`re talking about "Breaking Bonaduce," my first reality show. And the fact of the matter is I don`t remember great portions of it, but enough of it has come back to me. I`ve never seen a single episode of that show. It`s just too humiliating. And hiding from people, you know, hiding from the paparazzi and it was weird, because I thought my paparazzi days were behind me, but when I filed for divorce or she filed, I don`t know, I became of interest. And I couldn`t figure out why. And I guess they were all thinking I was going to relapse.
So doing anything in the public eye is probably a little more difficult than doing it in the confines of your home or I`m not a big believer in rehabs. Their record stands for itself and it`s a poor record. But let me - having said that, if you feel it can help you and you need to go, go. I don`t want to be the guy that talked you out of it.
HAMMER: Well, Danny, obviously it`s been a very long road for your friend Ozzy. So I`m happy as your friend that he is doing well. And I`d like you to stick around. We`re going to move on to something else. We have to talk about Kim Kardashian`s Twitter backlash tonight. Kim sent out a tweet about a TV appearance asking fans to tune into QVC, it was just hours after the Boston bombing tragedy. A lot of people wondering what the heck she was thinking. I want to know what you think about that, Danny. We`ll get to that in just a minute.
HAMMER: Right now, SHOWBIZ Backlash. You know, sometimes stars just forget to think before they tweet. And tonight we have two stars who are still catching heat for their less than thoughtful messages. First up, Kim Kardashian. Kim is getting slammed tonight for using Twitter to promote her mom Kris Jenner`s appearance on QVC last night right in the middle of the Boston Marathon bombing aftermath. And right after she tweeted her condolences. People everywhere just slamming her today. I want to bring back Danny Bonaduce, he is in Seattle, and he`s the host of the "Danny Bonaduce Show" on KZOK-102.5 in Seattle. So, Danny, Kim waited just 24 minutes after her sympathy tweet to promote her mom`s appearance. Do you think she was out of line?
BONADUCE: It`s actually worse than I thought to be honest with you. I thought she was aware of the tragedy and chose to tweet about her mom`s appearance. She had actually said I`m sorry and that`s not good enough to leave for the whole day. My wife`s the one who told me. I`m 53 now. I don`t understand all of this stuff completely. My wife`s a little younger than I am. And she goes, well, if you have a great message, don`t tweet anything else, because it should stay all day. My sympathies for the people in Boston. I didn`t touch it. I left it. And for Kim to go 24 minutes, well, that`s enough sorry. It`s not enough sorry and I`m not mad at Kim Kardashian, like, yeah, I`m a little mad at her but I`m going to say the meanest thing you can say to a Kardashian. "Your time`s just about up. Play the last few minutes of this ride carefully."
HAMMER: Well, we`ll see you about that, Danny, but while a lot of people were just furious about this, I mean it was really just a case of not thinking at all. Right after Kim hit send on her tweet.
BONADUCE: I disagree.
HAMMER: Well, let me read to you some of the responses she was deluged with last night after sending this out. "America`s in the midst of a tragedy right now. F-you." Another similarly responding, "We don`t give an "f" right now," Kim. Do you think that Kim`s next tweet should be an apology, Danny?
BONADUCE: I think if she were smart, but then a lot of the American people are smart and know it wouldn`t mean anything to her. If she was sorry, she would have left up her condolence tweet and not touched it. It would have sat there all day. As it should be. Then to promote your mother on QVC, it`s blasphemy, almost.
HAMMER: An important lesson. Hopefully she`s paying attention. And Kim, of course, not the only celebrity target of SHOWBIZ backlash tonight, Danny. Justin Bieber getting reamed after he visited the historic home of Anne Frank, the young girl, of course, whose diary about hiding from the Nazis is world renowned. After his visit, he wrote in the guest book, "she was a great girl who hopefully would have been a Belieber." He should have stopped at great girl. But now instead of tweeting an apology or even an explanation, he tweeted "breaking news worldwide, Justin Bieber just posted two shirtless pictures. He must be going crazy." So look, Danny, I get the idea that he`s goofing on the attention he gets. But I think that was a pretty dumb move compared to the good an apology might have done.
BONADUCE: Well, I`m really, to be honest with you, and I gave him a break because of his youth. I did. He didn`t go to school in a natural setting. So I don`t think it was, you know, reading that`s mandatory. So I`m not sure he read "The Diary of Anne Frank." And if he didn`t, shame on his parents. I should have. But I`ll bet money he didn`t. And the fact that he was in her house -- I`ve been on that exact tour. It`s awe inspiring, but a kid who is like Justin Bieber trying to get the concept of a family all hiding under the stairwell and then ending up in a concentration camp, I can imagine that that privileged mind couldn`t fathom it. I`m almost willing -- I was almost willing to just give him a slide until he didn`t take the chance to apologize. Everybody must have told him, Justin, you`re on such a cliff here, man. Say you`re sorry. You didn`t mean to be insensitive.
HAMMER: That was a big, big miss. I really appreciate your insight, Danny. It`s always great to have you hanging out with us. Thank you so much.
BONADUCE: A.J., it`s always a thrill and anytime, man.
HAMMER: All right. Well, as we move on tonight, coming up next, we`ve got a tribute to the victims and the heroes of the Boston Marathon bombing.
HAMMER: Right now a SHOWBIZ tribute. We have all been in a state of shock since the horrific bombing that shook Boston. The bombing rattled the earth, but our resolve is as strong as ever. So we leave you tonight with the fountains at the Belagio Hotel in Las Vegas. Calvin A. Bench II (ph) was visiting Vegas last week, and he recorded the water swaying to Lee Greenwood`s "God Bless the USA." He Just uploaded the video on Youtube after the bombing to help us all heal.
