Eight British Tourists Killed in South Africa Bus Crash

Aired January 1, 2004 - 06:38   ET

THIS IS A RUSH TRANSCRIPT. THIS COPY MAY NOT BE IN ITS FINAL FORM AND MAY BE UPDATED.

CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: Some sad news just in to CNN now. Police in South Africa say there has been a deadly bus crash north of the city of Durbin. That's along the coast, several hours outside of Johannesburg.
The British Foreign Office tells us eight British tourists were killed, a Canadian tourist was hurt. Police say this appears to be an accident, not foul play of any sort. Of course, we're working on getting more information for you.
