Aired December 2, 2002 - 05:45   ET

THIS IS A RUSH TRANSCRIPT. THIS COPY MAY NOT BE IN ITS FINAL FORM AND MAY BE UPDATED.

CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: Moving now from the evidence to the victims. Many of those hurt in the Kenya attack are still recovering from serious injuries, among them, an Israeli woman and her daughter. Funeral services for the woman's sons were held yesterday.
CNN's Kelly Wallace reports.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

KELLY WALLACE, CNN CORRESPONDENT (voice-over): The grief is too much for a grandmother to bear and too much for a father. Rocamin Anter (ph) held up by family and friends says farewell to his two sons. Fourteen-year-old Debire (ph) and 12-year-old Noy (ph) were killed in the Mombasa terror attack. The two boys remembered for their smiles and the way they looked out for each other.

ILANA NULMAN, SCHOOL PRINCIPAL: They left us a memory, a wonderful good memory because they were good, good friends. And if we love each other and if we hug each other, we can go through any tragedy.

WALLACE: Compounding the family's incomprehensible grief, the boys' mother and their sister still recovering in the hospital, unable to attend the funeral.

The family from the West Bank settlement of Ariel saved up for what was supposed to be a bar mitzvah celebration for the boy. But moments after they arrive at the Paradise Hotel in Kenya, Rocamin is screaming in agony, his entire family becoming victims of a suicide bombing.

In all, 3 Israelis and 10 Kenyans were killed and scores injured, including Marci Mwagambo of Kenya. Marci was flown to Jerusalem's Hadafa (ph) hospital to get treatment for severe burns on her body. Her first message to her loved ones when they saw her, don't worry.

MARCI MWAGAMBO, BOMBING VICTIM: (UNINTELLIGIBLE) friends, many, many people came crying and told them (ph) no, don't cry in my life, I'm OK.

WALLACE: In the same hospital, Alona Robabshi, just 13, copes with shrapnel in her arm and tragic memories.

ALONA ROBABSHI, BOMBING VICTIM: We ran away from the attacks in Israel and it came to there. It ran after us. WALLACE: The violence followed Rocamin and his family too. Now they can only grieve and remember. Noy's close friend, Tomair (ph), recalls the last time he say Noy. Noy said I'll see you later.

"I miss him. I miss him," Tomair says. "It's hard."

Kelly Wallace, CNN, near Tel Aviv.
