CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: And now it is time for the "Talk" of CNN. KDMX's "Jeff and Anna in the Morning" from Dallas on the phone with us right now -- good morning. JEFF: Hi, how are you guys? ANNA: Morning. COSTELLO: But you know, I know you guys want to talk about the elections, but frankly, aren't you sick of them? ANNA: Oh yes! JEFF: Yes, actually we are, but you know it's still of a bit of a buzz here so; but if you are, we are, so. COSTELLO: OK. Well the most -- well not the most interesting but I guess the quirkiest thing I saw is where George Bush voted in Crawford, Texas in sort of a, I don't know what it was, a gas station/store. ANNA: Fire station. COSTELLO: Fire -- was it a fire station? ANNA: Yes, it was. COSTELLO: It didn't even look like a fire station. ANNA: Well that's what they look like in Crawford. (LAUGHTER) JEFF: There are very few fires in Crawford. (LAUGHTER) COSTELLO: We heard roosters in the background and dogs barking. JEFF: You know there was an interesting piece of video here, Governor Rick Perry got a call from George W. Bush congratulating him on winning the election. And when George -- when Governor Perry answered the phone, he said hey, brother. COSTELLO: Oh! JEFF: It's like he gets to call the president hey brother. COSTELLO: I thought only Jeb got to do that? ANNA: Yes, you never know, maybe Rick and George are related. COSTELLO: Well there really weren't any surprises of the races in Texas, were there? ANNA: No,... JEFF: No. ANNA: ... the Republicans swept everything. JEFF: Yes, it was -- it was a big -- it was a big slap on the back for George W. Bush. ANNA: It was. COSTELLO: Definitely so. Well if the Republicans would not have swept Texas, it would have been pretty embarrassing for George Bush, frankly. ANNA: Very true. You know we couldn't get a hold of the real Rick Perry since George W. was calling him, but we got a hold of the fake Rick Perry in Fort Worth, Texas. COSTELLO: Oh great. JEFF: Yes, he's our new character on our little broadcast. COSTELLO: Well see, it's provided you with some comedic fodder. JEFF: Yes, it has. COSTELLO: Hey, let's talk about Afghanistan because someone is sending candy to soldiers. ANNA: We are. JEFF: Yes, we're doing... COSTELLO: Awe! JEFF: It's Operation Sweet Tooth. We got an e-mail from somebody stationed there and said hey you know the people here really miss the simple things in life and he happened to mention in his e- mail candy. So coming up on Monday, we're going to have three people dressed as M&Ms all over the Metroplex and we're going to be collecting candy and send it to the troops. ANNA: It's Operation Sweet Tooth. COSTELLO: Oh, and it's not -- it's M&M the candy, not Eminem the rapper? ANNA: Well, you never know. JEFF: Yes. ANNA: We don't have a budget here. (LAUGHTER) COSTELLO: OK. Hey,... JEFF: Yes, we'll add it. If we'll add his new record, I'm sure he'll show up. COSTELLO: I'm sure, oh yes. Hey, Jeff and Anna, thank you very much. ANNA: Thank you. COSTELLO: It was fun as always.
