Pedestrian Bridge Collapses in Upstate New York

DARYN KAGAN, CNN ANCHOR: Actually, we have two breaking stories to bring to our viewers right now. The first from Upstate New York, word of a bridge collapse, and one worker dead. This coming from Marcy, New York as authorities confirm that these workers, these construction workers were pouring the concrete for this pedestrian bridge. It collapsed, it took about 45 minutes to get all the workers out from underneath. One worker dead, a number of -- nine other workers are injured in the Marcy, New York area.
Also, want to update you about the story we told you about just a few moments ago, this one coming out of Erie Township, Michigan. You can see the pictures now. A school bus colliding with a steel-hauling truck, and this was carrying students from a school in the Detroit area, Pierre Toussaint Academy. Reports now saying four to five people seriously hurt, about 30 others having less serious injuries. This one taking place about 11:15, about an hour and a half ago Eastern time.
