French Troops Arrive at Ivory Coast School

Aired September 25, 2002 - 07:48   ET

THIS IS A RUSH TRANSCRIPT. THIS COPY MAY NOT BE IN ITS FINAL FORM AND MAY BE UPDATED.

PAULA ZAHN, CNN ANCHOR: Breaking news -- thanks, Bill -- out of the Ivory Coast, where it appears as though 200 children, most of them Americans, caught in the crossfire of some activity going on there right now.
Donald Rumsfeld saying this is not a serious problem, but on the other side, we're going to get on the phone, Michelle Kuzino (ph), who is the chief security officer in the school.

At this hour, it does not appear as though any of the children are injured. However, they are being instructed to put their heads down in sort of a kneeled position, as they're being instructed each time the fighting intensifies.

That late-breaking report right after this break.
