KYRA PHILLIPS, CNN ANCHOR: Last hour you heard the rousing sounds of the Andre Rieu tour and the in studio performance by the violinist. Well, the ensemble is currently on tour across North America now and Andre is back this hour to talk about the tour and give us an encore performance.

We're so glad you're here.

ANDRE RIEU, MUSICIAN: Thank you.

PHILLIPS: We've already received so many e-mails. And I, as a matter of fact, I, we, I just showed this to you and I wanted to share it with our viewers because I thought it was so wonderful. And I want to know what it's like to receive mail like this. But we received this e-mail from Dale in Marysville, Pennsylvania. And he said, "I would very much like to get a message to Andre so he might know how his music has touched some people. I just saw him appear on CNN and hearing his Lindbergh accent brought a tear to my eye. Like Mr. Rieu, my wife was a Lindbergher. She passed away last Sunday and we played his music at her memorial and it was her favorite.

RIEU: Oh. That's fantastic.

PHILLIPS: How does that make you feel when people respond like that?

RIEU: Yes, that's why I make music for, because when people are always writing to me, I had a bad year and my father died or whatever, but due to your music and to your concerts I can live again and I'm happy again. So that makes me, that's why I do it.

PHILLIPS: Well, it moved me.

RIEU: That's why I do it.

PHILLIPS: I responded to Dale so maybe we should dedicate this next piece to Dale, what do you say?

RIEU: We'll do that.

PHILLIPS: OK.

RIEU: We'll do that.

PHILLIPS: What are you going to play for us?

RIEU: "The Blue Danube."

PHILLIPS: Oh, a beautiful piece. OK, I'll let you go.

RIEU: OK.

(RIEU PLAYS VIOLIN)

PHILLIPS: Once again, you've been watching Andre Rieu. He even took me on a little waltz, a nice little surprise there. It made my morning. I hope I did OK. And your tour, "Life Is Beautiful," tell us where we can see you next.

RIEU: We are touring the East Coast and we come in April and May. So we do, I don't know the cities by heart, but we we'll figure it out for you.

PHILLIPS: But we can find it on your Web site.

RIEU: Yes, you can find it on my Web site, yes. That's true.

PHILLIPS: Outstanding.

RIEU: Yes.

PHILLIPS: Well, you really made this morning special for us. We appreciate it very much.

RIEU: Thank you very much. It was a pleasure to be here.

PHILLIPS: Well, should we keep your video going or should you play us to break again?

RIEU: Let it keep going.

PHILLIPS: All right.

RIEU: And then you'll see the people at home can see what we do here in the States.

PHILLIPS: The orchestra is a big part. I mean it's not just you. This is your family, right?

RIEU: That's it. And my friends. And we are traveling around and I bring them all to the United States, 40 musicians on stage. And we go from city to city and it makes so happy that we can make this beautiful music for the people. And we'll all dance in the aisle, like you see there. I did it in London and I cannot tell you the joy it gets me to be on stage and to play this music for the people.

PHILLIPS: Well, you can tell. You can see your very warm spirit exude as you play and even the response from everyone.

RIEU: Yes, and I like also to make jokes and put humor in it. For example, this moment that you just see. Then I stop playing and the people don't know what to do. You see? And then I go on.

PHILLIPS: That's sort of how I was when you took me for my dip.

RIEU: Yes, that's true. Yes.

PHILLIPS: Well, it's been a pleasure. I hope that folks will log on and find out where they can catch you. You have touched us, touched many of our viewers who have already e-mailed us. And we're going to let this take us to break.

Thank you, Andre.

RIEU: Thank you very much. Thank you.
