MILES O'BRIEN, CNN ANCHOR: Let's check in on a breaking story out of the St. Louis area; these pictures coming to you courtesy of KMOV, our affiliate in St. Louis.

You're looking at a car that, according to authorities, contains a person suspected in a bank robbery. Also according to our affiliate there, KMOV, there may, in fact, be a hostage inside that car with that suspected bank robber. The chase is underway.

Let's listen in for just a few moments to the affiliate.

UNIDENTIFIED KMOV ANCHOR: ... and then they join in the chase. Hopefully they can get to a point where they can get the suspect car away from other traffic.

That is clearly at the Goodfellow exit of Interstate 70. Goodfellow -- this was formerly a munitions plant in north St. Louis at Goodfellow and 70 -- just past that point. Sky Zoom 4, again, is tracking on the north side. Just looking north at Interstate 70.

Now, this is a construction area at this point. We're blocked a little bit by trees. Hopefully Sky Zoom 4 is going to move north over 70.

But remember, in a few moments we're going to have great difficulty covering this, because we will get into what's called Lambert International Airport airspace. And we may already be into Lambert's airspace; and that is why our helicopter is being told to stay back. The helicopter will not be able to fly through the airspace from the east side of Lambert all the way to the west side of Lambert.

So again, the last time we saw -- we are being told that the car just crashed.

O'BRIEN: The helicopter for KMOV moves into the airspace which is protected for the field there -- the airport there. We will step away from that chase. We will be monitoring that for you as it continues.

Just to recap on that, according to the affiliate -- this is the St. Louis area -- a suspected bank robber is driving that vehicle. Part of that chase, apparently, according to the authorities, there may be someone who is in his custody, kidnapped as a result of that bank robbery.
