Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Confirms Milosevic's Arrest

Aired March 30, 2001 - 5:02 p.m. ET

THIS IS A RUSH TRANSCRIPT. THIS COPY MAY NOT BE IN ITS FINAL FORM AND MAY BE UPDATED.

FRANK SESNO, CNN ANCHOR: CNN can now confirm, courtesy of a deputy prime minister -- Serbian deputy prime minister who's spoken to CNN, that the former Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic has been arrested in Belgrade, where he is wanted for corruption and other charges. You know that he is also wanted in the Hague for alleged war crimes. This is separate from that, but certainly begins a process that the United States and other Western nations have been demanding and will be watching very closely. CNN will be watching it very closely as well.
