Aired November 22, 2000 - 7:43 a.m. ET

THIS IS A RUSH TRANSCRIPT. THIS COPY MAY NOT BE IN ITS FINAL FORM AND MAY BE UPDATED.

LINDA STOUFFER, CNN ANCHOR: We're just getting in some breaking news from the Associated Press. They are quoting the Bush campaign as saying that Republican running mate Dick Cheney has been hospitalized in Washington, apparently complaining of chest pains.

Again, the Associated Press is reporting this. They are quoting the Bush campaign. We are working to firm up the details on this and bring you more on it.

But, again, we are hearing right now that Republican running mate Dick Cheney is hospitalized in Washington, apparently complaining of chest pains.

Again, we are working to bring you more on that. He's been running for vice president along with George W. Bush in a seemingly never-ending election right now.

But, again, we're hearing that Dick Cheney has been hospitalized in Washington complaining of chest pains. Right now we are working to get in contact with our reporter in Austin, Texas. We are hoping to bring you more from the Bush campaign as soon as we can. But that is the word as we have it right now from the Associated Press.

And of course as we get more developments we will bring them to you right away. No word right now on how Dick Cheney may be doing, but, again, we understand that he's been hospitalized with chest pains. More on that in a moment.
