Aired November 6, 2000 - 9:12 a.m. ET

THIS IS A RUSH TRANSCRIPT. THIS COPY MAY NOT BE IN ITS FINAL FORM AND MAY BE UPDATED.

BILL HEMMER, CNN ANCHOR: Once again, watching the story out of Culver City in Southern California. Again, what we know at this time, inside of a Target department store there in Culver City, it is said that 40 people are being held hostage. Our affiliates watching this, KTLA, as well as our bureau there in Los Angeles. We have very few details about what's happening, but, again, the day is just breaking there in Southern California.

This helicopter picture coming through KTLA in California.

So we'll watch it. As we get more information, certainly you'll hear about it out of Southern California.
