THIS IS A RUSH TRANSCRIPT. THIS COPY MAY NOT BE IN ITS FINAL FORM AND MAY BE UPDATED.

DARYN KAGAN, CNN ANCHOR: We have breaking news that we're following from CNN headquarters here in Atlanta, news from Taipei, Taiwan that a Singapore Airlines jetliner that was bound from Taipei to Los Angeles has crashed. Very early information that we're getting from the Associated Press.

Once again, it's a Singapore Airlines jetliner taking off Tuesday night Taipei time, heading towards Los Angeles. It has crashed. Apparently there was some bad weather when the plane went down. Not known a flight number right now, not known how many people on board and how many casualties or injuries.

But of course we are going to monitor this. And as more information comes into us here at CNN, we will bring it to you once again.
