HOMEWARD BOUND
The Saturn-bound Cassini probe recently took its first color pictures of its future home. The NASA craft snapped this composite image about 177 million miles (285 million km) from the ringed planet, or nearly twice the distance between the Earth and sun. Cassini launched in 1997 and should arrive in July 2004. Besides studying Saturn, Cassini will drop a mini-probe into the atmosphere of the moon Titan, the bright dot at top.
