Astronaut Buzz Aldrin, NASA administrator Dan Goldin, first female spacewalker Kathy Sullivan, Bill Nye the "Science Guy" and a host of other space experts, scientists and science-fiction writers are participating in a full-day Symposium on the risks and reward of space exploration today in Washington, D.C.
Panel discussions hosted by Hugh Downs and Ted Koppel will focus on such topics as "Space Exploration for a New Generation" and "Humankind's Place in the Cosmos." CNN will Webcast the event live throughout the day.
