(CNN) -- Russia celebrated the 13th anniversary of the Mir space station on Monday with the docking of a Soyuz space module, delivering what may be the last crew for the venerable space outpost.

But Russian officials yearn to see yet another anniversary by exploiting the capitalist system they once hoped to bury.
