(CNN) -- Over the past six months, taking a flight in the United States has been a crap shoot -- will it be overbooked, delayed or canceled? In the short term, the travails of travel will continue. Carriers have added some 600 flights a day during this past summer. But technology may hold some answers to this clogged air traffic system. CNN's Marsha Walton takes a look.
