(CNN) -- He is perhaps the most prolific painter of the space age that was, is, and as he dreams it could be. And boy, does he dream. He's been drawing for nearly all of his 79 years, tasting early success drawing illustrations for Life, National Geographic and the Saturday Evening Post, and chronicling the race to the moon with a front row seat, courtesy NASA. CNN's Miles O'Brien chats with one of the foremost chroniclers of the dawning of the space age.
