Motorola will license HomeRun, which can be used to set up home telecommuter LANs without installing dedicated networking cable. The HomeRun LAN supports speeds up to 1M bit/sec, but that is projected to increase up to 10M bit/sec next year, as the technology is refined.

HomeRun does not interfere with regular voice phone service.

3Com, AT&T Wireless, Advanced Micro Devices, Compaq, Intel, Lucent, National Semiconductor and Rockwell Semiconductor Systems also license HomeRun.
