NEW YORK (CNN) -- The Microsoft antitrust trial switched gears Monday as the focus shifted from the company's dealings with Apple Computer Corp. to Intel Corp., highlighted by the release of additional excerpts from Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates' videotaped deposition.

Gates tried to dispel the notion that Microsoft attempted to force Intel Corporation from developing multimedia software that would compete with Microsoft's offerings.
